Everyone is talking about it-
but
what is it ?
BlackBerry is a handheld communication solution allowing
you to receive emails just like text messages, with no need to return to your
desk or find an internet cafe.
You can read, forward, reply, create and delete emails as
well as attachments.
Whether you use a corporate e-mail system or have a personal
internet-based account, there is a BlackBerry solution to make you more
productive.
How does it work
BlackBerry uses GPRS to provide an always-on connected path to your email
service. Whenever anyone sends you an e-mail message, it is automatically
received by your BlackBerry.
However there is much more to BlackBerry than just email. It
can be used for mobile phone calls, for sending text messages, for keeping track
of appointments and for storing contact details., and some versions have built
in camera and integral
Who would use BlackBerry
Just about anybody who would like to be in communication without being tied to a
desk.
What does it cost
Thanks to the GPRS technology, there is no 'per minute' charge for being
connected to the email service. Other costs will vary depending on the BlackBerry solution you choose and the service required. There will be an
initial purchase price for your BlackBerry and in some cases for user licenses, a monthly charge for the service you
choose and - depending on your price plan - a cost for the amount of data you
send and receive.
So what will it do for me?
- Time saving: no need to return to your desk or find an internet cafe.
- Easy to use: just like a mobile phone, with no logins or passwords to
remember.
- Email finds you: your new messages automatically arrive, so you do not
need to keep checking and no more shocks over returning to an inbox full of emails.
- Fast Response: reply to customers, sales prospects and friends quickly.
- Convenient: the pocket sized handheld is there whenever you need it.
- You're in Control: you can filter your messages to make sure you are not
overwhelmed - and you can always switch off.

enabling you to keep in touch whilst on the move. It is compatible with most POP
& IMAP services. You can open most attachments, compose new messages and reply
to e-mail In addition, the Blackberry
device can be synchronised with your desk PC, enabling you to keep contacts and
calendar information as you travel. No server or IT support is required.
The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution is a mobile email service
suitable for any
business that has a Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, or Novell Groupwise email
environment.
It enables key individuals in your company to view their email, electronic
calendar, task lists and contacts lists on an easy to use handheld device when
