Alarm systems

Car Security Products and other Vehicle Security products can be fitted to provide enhanced safety against theft. We supply and install to VSIB standards a wide range of  such products, many having Thatcham approval. The products shown below are the currently preferred range , but other products from these and other suppliers can be supplied.

Thatcham approval is given to units which satisfy standards defined for vehicle security., and these standards are recognised by Insurance Company's

 Minimum requirements for Approval are :-

Category 1 Combined Electronic Alarm and Immobiliser systems
 Alarm - Perimeter detection, ignition detection, Interior movement detection Or glass break and movement detection, audible warning with battery backup
Immobiliser - Passively set, isolates a minimum if 2 operating circuits or systems circuits, or one operationally relevant vehicle control unit with coded intervention.

Category 2 - Electronic or Electromechanical immobiliser systems
As Immobilser for Category 1

Category 2/1 - Existing Category 2 systems upgraded to Category 1 systems by addition of Alarms to the Category 1 standards.

Toad Ai606 - Category 1                                                                                     
Provides a comprehensive range of security features including door, bonnet and boot protection, ultrasonic interior protection, 2 circuit immobilisation, battery backed siren and distress alert, two randomly encrypted 4 button anti scan/grab programmable transmitters providing 3 timed or constant  remote controlled outputs for headlight operation, boot release total closure etc. and vehicle dependent window and sunroof closure, together with convenience features - universal central locking (for vehicles with existing central locking), secure PIN override, .

Avital Maxx1 Category 1                                                                                     
Entry level alarm/ immobiliser system including AviGlo glow in the dark & waterproof remote controls.

Datatool System 3 Motorcycle Category 1                                                       
Intelligent auto alarm mode - 30 sec after switch off, and secure PIN override, twin circuit immobilisation, loud battery backed siren with 8 tones to aid recognition of attack. Customer selectable full passive arming or passive warning without movement detector. Supplied with 2 anti scan/anti grab transmitters.

Autowatch 375 Clam Thatcham Category 2:1 Upgrade.                                 
Uses the original transmitter and upgrades the immobiliser to a full Thatcham approved Category 1 system Upgrades the fitted immobiliser to full Category 1 alarm system.

Toad C4T Thatcham Category 2:1 Upgrade                                                        Compact Alarm system, upgrades existing Category 2 immobiliser by adding alarm system. Two randomly encrypted two button, anti scan/grab transmitters, boot/door and bonnet protection, distress alert , intelligent rearm and passive arm, battery backed siren and many other features.

Toad Sterling Excel TransponderThatcham Category 2                                          
 A keyless, two circuit high security immobiliser which automatically arms when the ignition key is removed, and disarms when it is replaced  (Was Toad Powerkey)

 A keyless, high security immobiliser which automatically arms when the ignition key is removed, and disarms when it is replaced

A high specification vehicle featuring 2 R.F. transmitters, door, bonnet & boot protection, ultrasonic interior protection, immobilisation, panic alert, status LED, micro siren, flashing indicators. Full remote control central locking and vehicle dependent selective locking, enabling the driver to only unlock the driver's door.

Car security alarm system with antiscan/anti-grab remote controls, shock sensor, door, bonnet/boot protection, single circuit immobiliser, panic alert, LED indicator, dual tone siren and with Central Locking module to interface with existing central locking.( May require additional door motors)
